Pineapple Tempeh


Cut each @tempehine burger patty in half, crosswise. Add some vegetable oil in a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Brown the 8 slices for 3 minutes on each side.
Meanwhile, mix all ingredients for the “bacon” flavored marinade in a bowl. Pour into the hot pan over the tempeh and turn the slices frequently to absorb the liquid. Leave them in the pan until the liquid has evaporated.

Preheat oven to broil. Place the slices on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, add a few slices of canned pineapple. Mix the 4 ingredients together to make the brown sugar and pineapple juice butter. Generously brush the slices with this butter, then put them in the oven for a few minutes until they are nicely colored, keeping an eye on them. Remove from oven and serve.
