General Tao Tempeh

PREPARATION :

Break up the tempeh cubes with your hands, place them in a saucepan, cover with water and boil for 10 minutes. Drain. Put the tempeh cubes in the cornstarch and mix. In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Pour in the tempeh cubes and fry them for a few minutes or until they are golden brown on each surface. Set aside.

In the same pan, add a little bit of vegetable oil and sauté the garlic, green onion and red bell pepper for 2 minutes. In another bowl, combine all the remaining sauce ingredients and add them to the pan with the golden tempeh cubes. Stir to coat with the sauce. Serve with rice and stir-fried vegetables.
