At Tempehine (Aliments Merjex inc.), we place great importance on protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector).
Person responsible for the protection of personal information
In accordance with Law 25, the person responsible for the protection of personal information at Aliments Merjex inc. is Sonel Merjuste, President. You can reach him at sonel@merjex.ca with any question about your information or to exercise your rights.
Information we collect
- Newsletter: when you sign up, we collect your email address so we can send you recipes, news and offers. The newsletter is managed by Brevo (see « Sharing with third parties »). You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Store locator: if you enter a postal code or address, or use geolocation, this data is used only to show the nearest points of sale. It is processed in your browser and is not stored by us; geocoding is performed by third-party services (Zippopotam.us, OpenStreetMap / Nominatim).
- Browsing data: we use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to measure site traffic (pages viewed, device type, source). This data is collected using cookies and is pseudonymized.
Purposes
We use this information to manage your newsletter subscription, provide the store locator, measure and improve site performance, and communicate with you. We do not collect more information than necessary.
Consent
By signing up for the newsletter, you consent to receiving our communications. You may withdraw your consent at any time (unsubscribe link in our emails, or by writing to us).
Retention
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe or upon request, it is removed from our lists.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your information. We rely on service providers that act solely on our instructions:
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — newsletter management and delivery;
- Google (Google Analytics) — traffic measurement.
Brevo is established in France and Google in the United States; your information may therefore be processed outside Quebec and Canada, subject to contractual measures intended to ensure adequate protection.
Cookies
The site uses cookies necessary for its proper operation, as well as traffic-measurement (Google Analytics) cookies. You can set your browser to refuse them; some features may then be limited.
Your rights (Law 25)
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to request its correction, to withdraw your consent and to request its deletion. To exercise these rights, write to the responsible person named above. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
