Teriyaki Tempeh

Preparation:

Chop the dates. Cover with water and put in the microwave for one and a half minute. Drain and pour into the blender with the remaining sauce ingredients. Pulse until you get a smooth consistency. Set aside.

Cut each @tempehine cube in half. Place them in a pan with the vegetable broth. Cover and turn heat to medium. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the broth is reduced (this method removes the bitterness from the tempeh).

Add salt and pepper to taste and pour the teriyaki sauce over the tempeh. Coat the tempeh cubes. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds and serve.
