“Bacon” tempeh pita with Caesar sauce

Tempeh bacon
Cut the burgers into strips. Place them in a frying pan with the ingredients for the “bacon”
flavour. Turn the heat to medium. When boiling, reduce the heat to low and turn the
tempeh strips frequently until the liquid has evaporated. Set aside off the heat.
Caesar sauce
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth. Set aside in a cool
place.
Assembly

Garnish each pita with hummus. Add tempeh strips, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes
and avocado slices. Top with the Caesar sauce and serve immediately. Store leftovers
separately in the fridge.
